Covid-19 Patient Letter
27 May 2020Dear Patient,
Over the past few weeks we have been looking after our patients on a remote consultation basis only. This was in line with the guidance given to us by the government and the chief dental officer.
Despite not knowing an exact date as per guidelines from the government, we have been planing and trialing the safe return for face to face patient care. As part of the trial, we have been implementing new procedures, and protocols to keep our staff and patients safe for when we do open for face to face appointments. We have also installed new equipment to help us maintaining a high level of disinfection throughout the practice and in particular in the surgeries. We‘ve made a lot of changes to how we introduce the social distancing too.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, we have activated our crisis protocol and have strong processes, robust systems, and dedicated support teams in place. We have triaged emergency patients remotely with an on call dentist and Qualified Dental Nurse, delivered any prescriptions prescribed by us to the vulnerable and reduced the amount of people walking into A and E with tooth related problems by accessing our services. Currently we have helped 126 emergency patients during lockdown, some registered with us and some not.
Our team have been fully briefed on essential preparation and prevention measures, completed in house training and training online. These range from increased hygiene measures, increased personal protective equipment and using new installed equipment.
We are following the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO), centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and all relevant authorities to ensure the actions we take are comprehensive and suitable.
Your safety and our team members are our highest priority. Our actions demonstrate a firm commitment to deploying appropriate resources to help maintain a healthy environment for our patients and team members.
Please keep checking our communications on email, website and social media as we are working tirelessly to support our patients during this time.
Please remember to call us on 01327 878758 or email us on info@daventrydental.com to let us know if you wish to reschedule any of your booked appointments. We would be happy to schedule an alternative date for you.
At your next appointment please use the link sent to you on your text message reminder to fill in your medical history, update personal details, this is to prevent the use of using pens/paper in practice. Please call the practice to say you have arrived for your appointment and wait in your car or outside. Avoid bringing any non essential items with you and bring a face mask to be worn when entering our building. The Nurse greeting you will guide you through our new system.
As a team, we are doing everything we possibly can to remain fit, well and able to work so that we can continue to provide our usual high standard of dental care for you.
We would like to Thank you for your continued loyalty and trust in Daventry Dental Care. Our commitment and responsibility towards you is as always our priority as we face the COVID-19 pandemic.
We are continuously monitoring the circumstances that surround the coronavirus and are going above and beyond to keep you and employees safe.
Thank you again for your ongoing trust in Daventry Dental Care
